WHAT'S HAPPENING
THE FARM
Curious about the food 18th century settlers would eat? Stop by the farm and we can tell you all about the heritage fruits, vegetables and animals we grow and manage. We can also tell you about the cash crops we raise like flax, which we process, spin and weave into fabric to make homespun clothing.
Our Mule Plough Fields
The fields of the farm are plowed by mule. These fields ultimately yield a variety of fresh produce, which are sold at the Colonial Artisan Market during each Open House.
Home Garden
The home garden at the farm is located behind the Drakeford house. The garden is home to various fruits, vegetables and plants grown for sustenance, education and medicinal use.
Animals of the Fram
Our farm is growing bigger every day and we now have Guineafowl, Dominique chickens, an Ossabaw Hog named Amos, two beehives, two cats, and a mule named Pet.
Artisan Market
Our farm’s produce, flowers, and colonial trade artisan products are now being sold at our Artisan Market a certified SC Roadside Market.
