NATURE TRAIL
Historic Camden has over 100 acres of land
Nature Trail
The nature trail is home to a variety of flora and fauna, as well as wildlife including fish, several species of birds, turtles, reptiles and deer. While traveling the trail visitors can see several features (landmarks) such as, clay borrow pits (where digging for clay occurred) and the first canal, which was dug for the mill pond.
Fishing Pond
Near the entrance to the nature trail there is a pond. Each April SCDNR stocks the pond with a variety of native fish. Upon restocking Historic Camden welcomes SCDNR as they host a youth fishing rodeo. Fishing is welcome to visitors and members with paid admission or membership and a valid fishing license.
The Historic Camden Foundation is not state or federally funded so we rely on individual donations. Even a small donation truly helps. So please send a gift and make a difference!
